What is vr 62?

VR-62 is a United States Navy Reserve squadron based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. The squadron was established in 1950 and is currently part of the Navy Reserve's Fleet Logistics Support Wing.

The mission of VR-62 is to provide worldwide airlift support to the Navy and Marine Corps, as well as other government agencies and allied forces. The squadron operates the C-130T Hercules aircraft, which is a versatile transport aircraft capable of conducting a wide range of missions.
